Infographic – Are you ‘Pinterested’? Female Fashionistas Are!
Pinterest rises up the social media chain, gaining a strong following of females and fashionistas and creating a commercially viable channel for retailers.
The Sandbox Marketing with Pinterest report, outlines two significant reasons why businesses should be paying attention to this new social media channel:
- Pinterest helps optimise your name in web searches. When someone searches the web your Pinterest page is one of the top results (behind your website, Google Places and Facebook pages).
- Visually interesting photographs of your products and services can be easily shared and viewed by thousands of people that click the picture and are taken directly to your website.
The report also highlights how businesses in the fashion industry are leveraging Pinterest to feature their latest products and accessories, while increasing website traffic and gaining revenue from people making online purchases through ‘re-pinned’ items.
So if a picture paints a thousand words… just imagine how many click you can get through pins on your site. It seems that retailers should take the advice of Natasha Sholl (channeling Beyoncé Knowles) and ‘put a pin on it’!
