H&M to Launch Australian Presence
The rumours are true. Swedish fashion retailer H&M is set to hit Australian shores in 2014. This activity follows a flurry of global retailers making their mark down under.

H&M announced through its Facebook page yesterday that it will open its first Australian store next year.
The post read “We are happy to announce that we will open our first H&M store in Australia in 2014! Stay tuned for more details,” receiving over 4,000 ‘likes’ and comments from more than 500 people.
H&M follows a number of global retailers setting their sights on Australian consumers, including ASOS, Zara and Topshop, who have all entered the Australian market to great success. Topshop has demonstrated a strong hold on the Australian market with its continued store openings across the country. Power Retail also spoke one-on-one with ASOS CEO Nick Roberston recently, who admitted Australia’s reception to ASOS had exceeded the e-tailer’s expectations.
H&M has a strong presence in much of the world with online channels and stores in Europe, the UK, North America, South Amercia, Asia, the Middle East and North Africa.
Harpers Bazaar revealed H&M was ‘scouting’ suitable locations for the flagship Australian store.
